Here you'll find actual advice (FROM OTHER STUDENTS) to help you survive your years at university
Make a friend in each of your classes
The worst feeling is to go through a class alone, so meet someone the first chance you get. For those that have a hard time making the first move, one easy go-to is to ask someone if they know anything about the class/professor and go from there. Make sure to get their contact info! Aside from notes sharing and studying, this is a key opportunity to make a valuable friend for the rest of your degree!
Textbooks
Find pdfs of textbooks on LibGen or check out the Textbook Marketplace on Facebook
LibGen is your friend! Although the site is sort of janky, theres a good chance you’ll find some of your textbooks for free download. Be aware, textbooks are published almost every year but the contents rarely change. The main thing to know is that textbooks outdated by just a year are almost always just as good as the new ones. You can also ask your professor if that is okay with them.
Professors
Check your professors reviews on Rate My Prof
Discord
This is a MAJOR FUCKING KEY. If you're not super social in class and/or tend to miss a couple classes here and there (wink wink). These servers are your ways to keep up with what's going on in your class, any upcoming deadlines, any changes to the course syllabus, need friends in class, notes or just wanna rant about the class to people who understand your pain these servers are the place to do it. Find servers for your class on discord or make one and send it to your class-list
